Lonny D Grimmer

DDS, MAGD


Dr. Lonny D. Grimmer has been practicing dentistry in the Northern Virginia area since 1997, first as an associate in Purcellville, and now as co-owner of the Ashbrook Center for Dentistry in Ashburn.  Originally a California native, Dr. Grimmer earned his Bachelor of Science Degree in International Business at California State University in Sacramento in 1986.  Dr. Grimmer pursued an earlier career in international business, working for large Japanese corporations in Los Angeles, California.  However, following a high school dream to become a dentist, Dr. Grimmer moved his family to Virginia in 1993, and earned a Doctor of Dental Surgery Degree from the Medical College of Virginia – Virginia Commonwealth University School of Dentistry in Richmond in 1997.

Dr. Grimmer has been named one of the DC area’s Top Dentists by Washingtonian Magazine, since 2014.


Dr. Grimmer continues today to put a high priority on continuing his dental education.  He travels the country every year to attend the best courses in all dental disciplines, including a special focus on cosmetic and implant dentistry.  He is committed to staying current with all of the newest dental techniques, skills, and technology, that will allow him give to his patients the highest quality care that modern dentistry has to offer.


Dr. Grimmer received his Fellowship Award in the Academy of General Dentistry (AGD) in 2008 at the Academy’s Convocation ceremony in Orlando, Florida.   He then continued his training to earn the prestigious Mastership Award at the AGD's Annual Meeting in 2019.  The Mastership Award is the highest AGD honor available, and is given to only one percent of all dentists throughout the world.  To earn this award, Dr. Grimmer completed over 1,100 hours of continuing dental education in all dental disciplines and pass a comprehensive written examination.  As a recipient of this award, Dr. Grimmer has joined an elite group of dentists who have met a comprehensive set of rigorous requirements in all disciplines of dentistry, showing his commitment to provide his patients with the the very best skill and knowledge available in the world of dentistry today.

Dr. Grimmer is an active member in several dental organizations, including the American Dental Association, the Virginia Dental Association, the Northern Virginia Dental Association, the Academy of General Dentisty, and the International Congress of Oral Implantologists.  He also serves as a Delegate of the Northern Virginia Dental Society, representing Northern Virginia dentists at the annual Virginia dental meeting.

Dr. Grimmer volunteers his time monthly to provide dental services for the Northern Virginia Dental Clinic in Sterling.  This clinic provides badly needed dental care to the under-served population of Loudoun and Fairfax Counties.  He also participates in annual events such as the Mission of Mercy Project, and the Smiles Across Loudoun Project, which provide thousands of low-income residents  all across Virginia with free dental care.

Because Dr. Grimmer lives and works in Loudoun County, he enjoys being active in volunteering in this great community.  In the recent past, he has served as a Member of the Board of Directors for business organizations, and Little League organizations.  He has also been a volunteer coach for most of his sons’ baseball, basketball, and football teams, and has served as a Scoutmaster for the Boy Scouts of America for many years.   In addition, he enjoys volunteer work as an active member of his Church.

Dr. Grimmer lives in Leesburg, and has been married to his wife Dorothy for 36 years.  They have five sons,  and six granchildren and counting.  When time allows, Dr. Grimmer also enjoys cycling, tennis with his wife, working out at the gym, landscaping projects at home, traveling overseas, watching movies,  and cheering on the World Champion Washington Nationals.  When he can, he also loves to attend high school sporting events that his patients and their families participate in.<


David Q Le

DDS, MAGD, MICOI


Dr. David Q. Le has practiced in Northern Virginia since 1998, as an associate and then as a co-owner in a private family and cosmetic dentistry practice.  Hailing from nearby Fairfax, Virginia, Dr. Le attended the University of Virginia in Charlottesville, where he earned his Bachelor of Arts Degree in Biology in 1993.  He graduated cum laude from the Medical College of Virginia - Virginia Commonwealth University School of Dentistry in Richmond, Virginia in 1997. He then went on to complete a one-year General Practice Residency at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Washington, D.C.  Here, he received further dental training with medically-compromised patients. 

Dr. Le is an active member in several dental organizations. These include the American Dental Association, the Virginia Dental Association, the Northern Virginia Dental Society (NVDS), the Academy of General Dentistry, the International Congress of Oral Implantologists, the 

Christian Medical and Dental Associations, and the Good Samaritan Medical and Dental Ministry.  He is also a delegate of the NVDS, representing Northern Virginia dentists at the annual state dental meetings.

Dr. Le has been named one of the DC area’s Top Dentists by Washingtonian Magazine, since 2006.

Dr. Le is committed to continuing education in all phases of general dentistry, taking courses with special emphasis on cosmetic and implant disciplines.

Dr. Le received his Fellowship Award during the Academy of General Dentistry’s (AGD) Convocation ceremony held in July 2005 in Washington, D.C.  He then received the prestigious Mastership Award at the AGD’s Annual Meeting in June 2013 in Nashville, TN.  The Mastership Award is the highest AGD honor available and one of the most respected designations within the profession. To earn this award, Dr. Le completed 1,100 hours of continuing dental education and has met structured and rigorous sets of requirements involving all disciplines in dentistry.  As a Mastership Award recipient, Dr. Le joins more than 2,300 active AGD Masters who have gone above and beyond the basic requirements to care for their patients’ oral health.

Dr. Le earned Fellowship status in the International Congress of Oral Implantologists (ICOI) at its 20th Annual Implant Symposium in December 2009 held in New York City. He was also awarded Mastership status in the ICOI at their award ceremony at the ICOI World Congress XXX, in Istanbul, Turkey in October 2013.  ICOI membership signifies commitment to continuous study and training in the field of implantology, whether placing or restoring dental implants.  Fellows and Masters of the ICOI have pursued voluntary programs that evaluate and examine their knowledge of implant dentistry by experts in the field. They have been recognized by their peers and are local leaders as well as global ambassadors. They have accepted a lifelong commitment to learning as well as to promoting ICOI's renowned international camaraderie.

Dr. Le strongly believes in helping others in underprivileged communities, both locally and abroad. He has donated his time and services to the Northern Virginia Dental Clinic in Falls Church, Virginia.  This clinic provides indigents of Fairfax and Arlington Counties the necessary dental care they otherwise would not be able to afford.  He also volunteers with the annual Mission of Mercy Project, sponsored and organized by the NVDS.  The MOM Project is a two-day annual event, which provides several hundred low income and uninsured residents of Arlington, Alexandria and Fairfax Counties receive free dental care.

Dr. Le is also an active member of the Christian Medical and Dental Associations, and serves as the Dental Director and a member of the Board of Directors of the Good Samaritan Medical and Dental Ministry. Through both organizations, he regularly volunteers in overseas dental mission trips to Vietnam that provide basic dental services and preventive dental education to the underprivileged population.

Dr. Le has been married to his wife for fifteen years and has two sons.  In his spare time, he enjoys travel, golf, working out at the gym, travel photography, and is an active member of his church at McLean Bible Church.
